STATIONARY BATTERY VENT CAPS

Plawn venting offers a practical response to the special difficulties posed by Lithium battery packs. The ePTFE membrane used in passive venting controls the gradual changes in temperature and pressure. In a condition of thermal runaway, active venting enables the vent to exhilarate allowing gases to swiftly escape. The Stationary battery, unlike other types of batteries, is often kept in one spot and helps supply energy for the many things mentioned and is commonly used in Power generation facilities, substations, industrial complexes, train signaling systems, huge commercial facilities, etc. Since they are mostly wet cell, flooded lead acid batteries, they must be charged as necessary. The vent ports provided in these batteries must have Battery Vent Caps to allow a level of breathability for the escape of acid fumes when charged. Further, the acid fumes generated are considered highly inflammable and therefore the vent cap must be designed to provide protection from that. When explosive gas(hydrogen) come in contact with a spark a fire hazard could take place and hence battery cap vents are important.
